From the ferry terminal it is a short walk past the yacht harbour to the main Plaza de las Américas
and the smaller adjoining Plaza de la Constitución . Both plazas face the promenade and main beach and are at the heart of the functional little town. Behind them, two narrow roads, Calle Ruiz de Padrón and Calle del Medio house the bulk of the town's accommodation, bars and restaurants. The town's tourist office ( Mon-Fri 9am-1.30pm, Sat & Sun 10am-1pm; tel 922/140 147) is in the old Customs House, on the corner of C/del Medio and Plaza de la Constitución.
